Installation steps
  1. Download the ZIP file. Browsers often block a downloaded program, so the installer comes inside a ZIP.
  2. Open your Downloads folder, right-click eCMessengerClientSetup.zip and choose Extract All. Then open eCMessengerClientSetup.exe from the extracted folder.
  3. If Windows shows a blue SmartScreen message, check that the publisher is Extern Technology LLC SPC. Choose More info, then Run anyway only if it is. If the publisher is unknown or different, do not run the file.
  4. Accept the terms and finish the installer. It installs for your Windows account only.
  5. eCMessenger Client starts by itself, with an icon near the clock. It also starts whenever you sign in to Windows.
  6. Return to this website and choose Connect. Your browser asks to allow access to apps on this device. Choose Allow.
  7. Choose Pair this browser and type the code shown in the eCMessenger Client window.
  8. Open Connection and enter your Shafafiya details. They are saved only on this computer.
If your browser blocks the connection

Use a current version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

  1. Click the icon to the left of the website address.
  2. Open Site settings.
  3. Find Apps on device or Loopback network and set it to Allow.
  4. Reload this page.

IT administrators can allow this site centrally. See the security guide supplied with eCMessenger.

Removing eCMessenger Client
Open Windows Settings, then Apps, select eCMessenger Client and choose Uninstall. You will be asked whether to remove your saved settings too.
